While everyone’s busy with their endless “morning shed” rituals and complex routines, we’re sticking to what works—and having fun while we’re at it. Because at espressOh, we believe in going back to essentials—whether it’s skincare or shower care. Join us as we reveal the must-haves that make our showers both effective and enjoyable—no fuss, just the essentials (and a little pink sparkle).

Chiara, espressOh Founder

When I shower I like to keep it easy (and pink). I usually shower at night and take my make-off in the shower with Ohily. I am obsessed with Glossier Body Hero Oil wash for my body, honestly it is quite expensive and I splurge on this one. As for my hair I like Maria Nila shampoo and conditioner and use My Ceremonia scalp brush to apply shampoo and massage!

Sapone del Mugello Extra Pure: I prefer using soaps as natural as possible, avoiding unnecessary chemicals—I’ll save those for my shampoo! 😊

Garnier Almond Shampoo: tried the natural route—too pricey, bad results. Sticking to this, hoping the “almond” makes it feel more natural (probably not).

Pantene Hair Mask: Swapped conditioner for a mask on my hairdresser’s advice—best decision! Way more hydration.

Hino Face Gel: I double cleanse, and this dermatologist-recommended gel is perfect for my second cleanse in the shower.

Emunda Face Mask: After a long, steamy shower, I use this purifying scrub-mask—pores open, skin baby-soft.

Since I started using a body oil instead of a creamy one, my skin feels ten times more moisturized and nourished! I love the texture, and it smells so good! Last but not least, it’s very affordable, and a bottle lasts more than three months!

My post-shower cuddle is definitely the Honey Infused Oil by Gisou. Its delicate fragrance gives my hair the same vibe as soaking it in a pot of honey. Plus, I get more compliments every time I add a few sprays before heading out.

Of the many body washes on the market, I stay humble and always choose my favorite from Felce Azzurra—perhaps because it reminds me of my childhood (my grandmother used to buy it for me) or simply because I love the fresh, clean scent.

I have always underestimated body care, but now I feel that I’m almost nailing it. Is this adulting? My everything shower is based on 3 basic steps: scrub, cleanse and moisture.

Scrub: Twice a week, full body (yes, back and hair too) to remove dead skin and prep for moisture. I DIY with coconut oil & coffee or grab a supermarket scrub for a stronger effect. For my scalp, I’m currently using Detoxifying Scrub by Davines.

Cleanse: I rinse off the scrub with an oil-based body wash—gentler than classic cleansers

Moisture: Urea at 10% is my holy grail for hydration. Eucerin’s formula has completely revived my dry legs!

Body Care: My skin is dramatic—super sensitive and endlessly thirsty. My survival kit? Q+A Salicylic Acid for a gentle exfoliation and Psorisdin Emollient Cream—thick, unsexy, but absolutely necessary. On extra-dry days, I spike it with a few pumps of Ohily because hydration is a full-time job.

Hair Care: After years of fighting my frizzy, ultra-porous hair, I’ve made peace with it. Shampoo and mask? I rotate randomly. But two steps are non-negotiable: hair gel for scrunching (porosity demands structure) and air drying. And always, always finishing with a generous mist of L’Oréal Elnett hairspray. Grandma vanity vibe and I’m addicted to the smell.
